When we setup the SEO department of Branded3 in early 2008 we had a vision to become the UK’s trusted authority on SEO, a large scale enterprise level agency that is respected by both the SEO community & senior level marketing teams alike. Our founding mantra of Social, Ethical & Natural link acquisition seemed far-fetched at a time when paid links were only just appearing on Googles radar and the Panda & Penguin algorithms hadn’t even been thought of, but fast forward 6 years to 2014 and SEO is a tougher challenge than ever with Google firmly stamping out any ability to rank in the long term using unnatural links.

During this time we’ve pushed forward hard with a focus on earning links through creativity, content strategy & online PR and have grown steadily thanks to our reputation and our ability to deliver results in an ever changing market. Today we’re proud to be one of the largest specialist search agencies in the UK with a team of 70 experts delivering SEO & PPC success for some of the country’s most well-known brands.

In 2002 Jim Stengel, the then Global Marketing Officer at P&G, made a landmark point that revolved around his view at that time that ‘the challenge is no longer awareness, but engagement’. This related purely to the disruption that the arrival of digitals channels had caused on the old marketing model. Over 10 years later the challenge is engagement all over again – and, arguably, digital channels still offer the greatest engagement opportunity from a marketing perspective because of the active nature of the user’s involvement AND the ability for brands to deliver highly targeted, personalised experiences.

So, and critically, because Google wants to rank sites that deserve to rank and engagement is a key metric in delivering against this, Branded3 has strategically positioned itself from a skill set and structural point of view to develop and deliver user engagement at all stages of a user’s digital journey; from SEO, PPC, UX, Design, Development, Conversion, Content, Social Media and Digital PR.

Engagement is strategic and best done in an integrated context - it is about being relevant and being true to a brand and it’s audiences. And then about understanding the role of digital channels in delivering that engagement in a consistent way that delivers results. That is our single minded mission.
