But of course it is entirely impossible for them to prove this is "additional" money. ie the people who follow will be interested in Dell already, and they would have found the deals elsewhere. I think this is my general criticism of Twitter, if I want to buy a Dell PC, I'd want to go to the Dell website. But might I have missed a "twitter only" deal. So now I have to check Twitter and Dell. Thus making life harder. So now I have to subscribe to all the companies I might buy from and check the feeds continuously in the hope they send out a deal. I'd rather just go to the company's website as and when I need to. If I want to follow their news, then I'd look for their RSS feed. Interesting to see that they have “made money” from it.
