Sheffield College

Objectives

Sheffield College required a new website which would better organise the content they had into a friendlier and more useful user journey, helping their audiences easily find the right college course for them.

As well as this, Sheffield College required a better marketing tool for the college, helping them be seen as a desirable choice above sixth form’s and colleges in neighbouring cities.

Strategy

In the design phase we tailored the user journey for the three key audiences Sheffield College was targeting. Utilising the personalisation functionality of Sitecore, we could determine which homepage each of these audiences saw depending on the referral.

The content was condensed, giving users the information they wanted at the right times and making it simple to convert.

Results

The website is now an effective marketing tool, selling the advantages and attributes of the college and allowing users to easily decide which course is best for them.

The college also has additional developments to further extend and integrate their offering with their course database allowing up to the date college information to be available as it happens.

Sheffield College are so impressed with it that they’ve embraced it as a communications tool, tailoring the homepage to their latest news and promotions and setting it as the default webpage for all 5,000 of their internal machines.
