So after six months of fundraising, three months of training, one week of rucksack preparation, and about four hours sleep; it all came down to one day. The challenge of the Yorkshire Three Peaks arrived on Saturday, and the Branded3 team tackled it head on.
With enormous amounts of enthusiasm (and biscuits…) our team battled pouring rain, knee-deep mud-filled bogs, and sheer rock faces to try and complete the 25-mile gruelling trek for Heart Research UK; and we couldn’t be prouder of our efforts.
Following a review of our hosting solutions and putting our clients’ needs at the forefront of our requirements; Branded3 has decided to partner with Rackspace® Hosting, providing clients with fully-managed, scalable, and supported hosting solutions.
After learning first-hand the high-standards and quality of their services, we knew there was no other service provider which could provide the solutions and support as efficiently and accurately as Rackspace®, and we wouldn’t recommend anything less than the best to our clients.
2011 has been a strange year for our multi-award-winning site Twitition.com. Back in April, Branded3.com and Twitition.com suffered from prolonged and potent DDoS attacks. After some research, we found that a Twitition to free a Chinese activist seemed to have sparked the attacks.
Although quickly resolved, the attacks left Twitition’s traffic a little sluggish, and so we launched a competition which would see the creator of the most popular Twitition win £500; to try and motivate and encourage Twitition users back to the site.

Despite becoming the subject of random DDoS attacks back in April; Branded3’s online petition site, Twitition, has won an ‘Outstanding Achievement’ award for social networking; further demonstrating Branded3’s innovation in social media.
Recognising “excellence in web design and development, and a high standard of planning, execution, and overall professionalism”, the Interactive Media Award has marked a happy ending to an inconvenient period of attacks, and rewards our efforts to overcome them and make the famous site better than ever.
Congratulations are in order for our design team today, as they found out they’d won an Interactive Media Award (IMA) ‘Best in Class’ for Web Design and Development for Branded3’s website; outshining some stiff competition and making their Monday morning a little brighter!
The prestigious award is only presented to those who excel in five criteria: design, content, feature functionality, usability, and standards compliance. Recognising the highest standards of excellence in website design and development, the award cements Branded3 as one of the best digital agency’s in the UK.
There’s been much excitement buzzing around the Branded3 office in Malaysia recently, as it was confirmed they’ve been shortlisted as one of the 10 finalists for a prestigious title at the Advertising and Marketing Magazine’s Agency of the Year Awards 2011.
Fighting fit and raring to go (almost…); Branded3 are preparing for the physical challenge of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, all in the name of charity. From web designers and developers, to content writers and SEO experts; over half of the Branded3 office are currently training for the annual event, and they’re all eagerly – but anxiously – awaiting the 25-mile walk which covers three of the highest peaks in Yorkshire.

The Branded3 office is awash with excitement and amazement this afternoon after learning that Rebecca Black has tweeted out one of her fan’s Twititions, thanking the people who’ve signed it.

Some interesting news today – we think – as our humble agency becomes unwittingly embroiled in international politics. Our online petition site, Twitition, has been the subject of sporadic distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks for the past couple of weeks, and until today, we were unable to fathom why anybody would want to try and bring the site down.
Twitition.com is an online petition site we built as an experiment in the power of social media. Over the last 18 months it has grown massively and is now one of the most popular social tools online, with over 650,000 followers on Twitter. Read more about Twitition here.
With growing success that never fails to amaze us; Twitition now has more followers than some of the world’s leading celebrities and sports stars; despite being the result of a fun experiment.
Twitition has now reached nearly 650,000 followers – cementing the concept that Twitter can be used as a powerful viral marketing tool.
