Google Analytics Ecommerce
Google Analytics is by far the best known of the major analytics products and is a perfect way for most websites to track visitors and sales.
We’ve been working with Analytics since the product launched in 2005 and have implemented the system on hundreds of websites since then.
Analytics very simply allows us to see who’s been visiting your website, where they came from and what products they purchased. We can look at your sales figures and see popular keywords and referrers for each product and use that information to improve sales in the future.
One of the interesting things we also do with Google Analytics is to use the e-commerce function to track quotation, sign-up and contact forms. Assigning an arbitrary value such as £100 to every customer contact allows us to get much better ROI data for our campaigns than using the restrictive Goal Tracking function suggested by Google.
