Usability Testing
Making a website user friendly is probably one of the first things you think of during the design process. A lot of people think of it as ticking a box, almost as if web designers wouldn’t make things user friendly unless the client asked for it!
In just the same way that SEO isn’t a simple fix, usability testing requires a lot of time and careful planning before the site even goes into production.
Our usability service normally starts with careful planning of the exact journeys that customers can take from the point at which they arrive at any landing page to the point of sale. Only by looking at the project with this level of detail can we accurately predict drop off points and weak pages during the conversion funnel.
For new designs we carry out eye-tracking and panel testing as well as user journey modelling, while for existing designs we normally start off with Branded3 Heat Maps and multivariate testing before moving on to eye-tracking and user testing.
