It’s Friday, which means it’s time for us to share some our favourite PR campaigns from over the past week – and with it being the start of December, brands are certainly getting into the festive spirit.
And, if you’re not in the mood to start celebrating just yet, don’t worry – we’ve included a few non-Christmassy campaigns to keep the inspiration flowing.
Coca-Cola truck sleepover
The Coca-Cola truck tour is one of the most iconic festive events, and this year, they’ve gone one step further.
For the first time ever, two lucky fans could win the chance to see inside the world-famous truck and experience the ultimate festive sleepover.
The festive living room and bedroom are packed with decorations, presents, Christmas films on demand, and festive music – and an unlimited amount of Coca-Cola to drink, obviously.
The winners will also get a Christmas dinner and breakfast included, as well as complimentary tickets to the Coca-Cola London Eye.

‘Marks & Shelter’
Commuters at Waterloo are being given the opportunity to taste the M&S Festive collection by spending some time in a pop-up Christmas themed dining room and trying out some virtual reality.

Through the use of VR, diners will be immersed in three very different families’ very real Christmas days. The first two videos are positive, showing happy families enjoying the festivities, opening presents, and eating large dinners.
However, the third shows a homeless family crammed into one room of a hostel, without space for a tree. It highlights that all this family wants for Christmas is a home.
It’s a wonderful campaign that helps to spread awareness of the charity through the use of interactive elements.
KFC Christmas Decorations
KFC are hosting a competition on their New Zealand Facebook page, for a chance to win a pack of 5 fast food-themed Christmas tree decorations they’ve created.
KFC marketing director Clark Wilson, said: “We’re now making Christmas wishes come true for fans with this exclusive range of #KFChristmas decoration. Forget the mistletoe this year – these naughty and nice decorations are sure to make the magic happen when you grab a drumstick off the tree and hold it overhead.”
They’ve become quite the masters of releasing fried chicken-related products (who can forget the clean eating burger, and the finger lickin’ good nail polish?!) – we’re just wondering what’s next on their list?
Domino’s Pizza – Baby Registry
Domino’s Pizza in the US have partnered with Gugu Guru to create their very own baby registry – offering parents the opportunity to create a wishlist. But this isn’t your standard kind of wishlist, with predictable items such as bottles and nappies… Domino’s are offering a variety of food packages!
From ‘Pregnancy Pack – Tame those cravings’ to ‘Dad’s Babysitting – AKA Mom’s Night Out’, the food packages are designed for specific moments and parenting milestones.
They’re not just selling pizza though. You can order some Domino’s merchandise for the whole family, just in case you wanted to dress your baby up as a pizza slice.

Bee in the City
There’s quite a buzz around the announcement that in July 2018, Manchester is set to welcome 80 giant honey bee sculptures. Inspired by Manchester’s celebrated worker bee emblem, Wild in Art and Manchester City Council are bringing all of Manchester’s communities together to create Bee in the City.
This will be a stunning public art trail of 80+ individually designed giant bee sculptures, and will be creatively crafted by emerging artists and regional professionals.
