Over the course of this past week, we’ve seen some great PR activity – so we’re here to share some of our favourites with you. Check them out below…
BrewDog – World’s First Craft Beer Hotel
BrewDog’s created an Indiegogo campaign to crowdfund their dream of opening the world’s first craft beer hotel! To our understanding, it will be the ultimate beer lover’s dream with IPA on tap in rooms, fully-stocked mini bars, beer-themed toiletries and spa treatments and brewing tank hot tubs, which can be filled with beer.

State Street Global Advisors – Fearless Girl Statue
As I’m sure you will have known, it was International Women’s Day on Tuesday and we saw some fantastic efforts made by companies to raise awareness. One campaign that really stood out to us was from State Street Global Advisors, an asset management company in New York. They placed a statue of a defiant little girl in front of Lower Manhattan’s charging bull statue.
But why, I hear you ask? Well, the captivating statue represents gender equality on Wall Street and serves as a plea for US financial firms to employ more women at senior levels. It has already attracted thousands of tourists and has gone viral across media outlets worldwide.
Nissan Concept Car – Pawfect for Pooches
Attention all dog lovers! Car manufacturer, Nissan, has come up with a pooch-oriented vehicle that features a whole range of ingenious accessories. The Nissan X-Trail 4Dogs includes a range of luxury doggy delights including a 360° doggy shower, fur drier, non-spill water bowl, treat dispenser, quilted cargo area and safety harnesses.
We think it’s highly unlikely that this concept makes it to production, but it’s a fun way to promote and draw attention to the Nissan X-Trail.
See Now – what does being “blind” look like?
See Now, a non-profit organization, has created a new interactive street-view map to give you the opportunity to view the world through somebody else’s eyes.
The map is particularly unique in that the simulator lets you see how someone with glaucoma, cataracts or retinopathy lives every day. You can select the lens you wish to look through as you move around the streets and adjust the severity of the condition.
The organisation hopes this interactive asset encourages people to join their campaign, and hopefully inspires them to book an eye test if it’s been a while since they had them checked.
MuslimGirl.com X Getty Images Collaboration
MuslimGirl.com have teamed up with Getty Images to work on a photo project, to create a powerful collection of images that capture a true depiction of the young, modern Muslim woman.
The partnership will offer images of a high quality for commercial purposes, with the aim of representing Muslim women in a contemporary and positive light.
We think this is a fantastic and inspirational project that has a strong and clear message. Check out the full collection of images here.
